The SYC Club Championship will now be raced on the 1st & 2nd August. This is due to anticipated access problems to the club on sunday 12th July as a result of the Sunderland 10k run (when wearmouth bridge, dame dorothy street and along roker seafront will be closed off). So, no racing sunday 12th July (dinghies or cruisers)  .
The club championship - you may be asking what is it? This event will be open to all SYC sailors, it is a club event for dinghies and cruisers. 2 races will be run on Saturday 1st August, including a pursuit race, starting around 1pm, followed by a prize giving and bring your own bbq. On the Sunday there will be 3 races, followed by a prize giving. There is no entry fee, just complete an entry form and hand it into the race office.
Anyone who isn't racing, but is keen to get on the water either in a safety boat or on the committee boat, then please email me or you can speak to me at the club.
